How it works

  1. Sign in

    Use LinkedIn and confirm you're 18 or older.

  2. Build your profile

    Let our AI draft it from public information for you to review, or fill it in yourself. Choose your topics, how many chats you'll take, and the charity you support. Chats are 30 minutes.

  3. Get approved

    We review every new profile before it appears to students. After that, your edits go live right away.

  4. Receive requests

    You'll get an email with the student's note and a link to their profile, so you can decide whether it's a good fit.

  5. Propose times or decline

    Within 2 business days, offer up to three times, or decline if you don't think it's the right fit. Requests you don't answer in time expire automatically.

  6. The student confirms

    You both get a calendar invite with a link to the video chat.

  7. Hold the video chat

    Your chat happens in a video room right on the site, so there's nothing to download. It opens 5 minutes before the start and you're the host. The room won't cut you off if you run a little over.

  8. Wrap up

    Mark the chat as completed and rate the student. Each completed chat, and each time a student doesn't show, means a $5 donation to your charity. Can't make it? Cancel before the start time.
